from the author...

What to write, what to write... Hmm. Well! Here's something I want to share with you, reader:

I really adore the concept of someone's soul being utterly wrapped up and consumed in a single, beautiful, poetic line. Like a personal motto for someone to hold in their heart. A motto which reveals who they really are underneath the mask they parade in. I believe with a passion that if every man and woman found that perfect quote to summarize their character, we'd each know ourselves a whole lot better. Wouldn't that be beautiful? I mean, obviously these phrases would vary from person to person. For just as you are different from me, I am different from you and we are all different from each other. :) As for myself- well! I can say with ease that my line is a rhyme penned by Mr. Edgar A. Poe. It reads this,

"And so being young and dipped in folly, I fell in love with melancholy."

(Dramatic, right?) After reading that, you can probably already tell a great deal about the construct of my character. ;) I encourage you now to try and think about your own "motto," your own special "line."

But all this being said... At the close of the eve of the end of my life, I think that DEEP DOWN, I dream to be entirely summarized not by my "follies" or "melancholies," but by an exhortation similar to that tender exclamation from the Book of Proverbs,

"Many of the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all." (31:29)

And I'm sure deep down, YOU dream that too.
